About Us

Pandamangalam Sree Krishna Temple is situated southern side of Kottakkal Municipality bus stand, Malappuram Dist.

The divinity is spread among 4 stages in 3 yugas.

It is made by Sree Parasurama in Thretha Yuga and the same is prayed by Pancha Pandava during their forest life.  It has the shape of Vishnu with 4 arms and instead of Sree Chakra, Butter can be found.  That is why it is known as Sree Krishna temple with Bala Gopala appearance.

After Brahmin family who was maintaining the idol was lost under earth.  The same can be found in the historic book "Histories of Temple, Malappuram". That ends the first era.

Kizhakke Covilakam Valiya Thamburan while travelling heard sound of flute and hurd of cows.  Then he could found the idol with the help of astrologers from the mud and enshrined the same.  After that with the blessing of Loard Krishna, they got kids in Covilakam.  All these can be found in the book "Temple of Histories".

The third era starts in 1950  and Vishu Utsav is being celebrated by Temple Welfare Committee.
